Preaching Vision and Schedule

Vision: The letter of joy, it has been called.”I love Big Mac’s, good coffee,  Volkswagens, Vespas, football, snowboarding, water, sun, exercise, motorcycles, reading good books, pineapples, hanging out with people and on and on. These things grab my heart and affections…however, I am deeply compelled by the wonder of the “what if.” What if the Gospel was meant to be a treasure, enjoyment and pleasure that would transcend any earthly satisfaction – even in seasons of challenge, wrestling, loss and heartache? What if we have missed the biblical understanding of joy? In invite you to join us over the next months as we enter into a journey of discovery together!

The Season of Advent

Theme - My Soul Magnifies the Lord: The Song of Mary (The Magnificat) and the Birth of Jesus Christ (Luke 1:26-56; 2:1–21)
Vision: Mary’s song, the magnificat is a hymn that “makes great” her Saviour. This Advent season we will seek to be attentive to her God-exalting words and also peek into the Godward-directed heart of Mary and of course, most importantly, turning our eyes once again to the long prophesied birth of the King.

Last Words: The Seven Last Words of Jesus on the Cross
Vision: I am compelled by last words, always. But especially the last words of Jesus as he hung on the cross. These words will transform us, challenge us and propel us on our journey with Him. These last words can transform the world. This focus will prepare us for Holy Week, and will reach its completion on Good Friday.
